When Autumn Stirs a Fire within You

This acorn fell, hit the ground, bounced, and then hit me in the butt. New best friend. Happy Autumn!

Autumn sits heavy on the land in the northwoods. There’s a stirring in the air, unsettling, electric. There’s something deep and primal that the changing of the season stirs in us. Even so removed from the land, as many of us are thanks to the qualities of our society, that stirring happens. We find interesting ways to put that unease, that restless to work, different avenues to funnel it into rather than allow it to sit within us, provoking us to worry.

Because I am (delightfully) predictable at times, I’m funneling this stirring into so many words. So very many words. This October is going to be a very full month and all of that warrants a blog post to let you know, dear reader, just what it is I’m up to over here.

Upcoming Magazine Article

I have an article appearing in Issue 1 of Stone, Root, and Bone, a magazine focused on earth-spirituality and magick, which will be released around Samhain. This will be the first I’ve been published in a magazine and, not going to lie, I may have submitted the maximum allowed word count (because of course I did.)

Month of Shenanigans

Because there is no way to fit enough witchcraft into October, I’ve declared it to be the Month of Shenanigans and will be sending out weekly emails filled with witch tips and tricks. As always, these letters will be focused on helping you to do what you’re already doing better, helping you to be more effective, and helping you to add a few new tricks to your arsenal.

Brand-New Course: A Witch's Guide to Necromancy

Perhaps by biggest news is that registration for my latest course, A Witch’s Guide to Necromancy, opens on October 1. This will be an 8-week course and, admittedly, is not designed for beginners. However, if you have taken Introduction to Spirit Work, Introduction to Ancestor Work, or An Introduction to Spellcraft, you are more than prepared for this course.

(Intro to Spirit Work and Intro to Ancestor Work are both just 3-weeks long so there is enough time to take one -or both simultaneously- before taking A Witch's Guide to Necromancy if you order by Oct 14.)

This course takes a practical and hands-on look at working and communicating with the dead, with the strong emphasis on doing the work that is common throughout my courses.

Exclusive Monthly Courses

In addition to the courses available through my site, I also offer exclusive mini-courses each month through Patreon. These courses take a deep dive into a very specific topic via live lessons (with full course notes available afterwards.)

Previous courses have focused on Familiars, Practical Tips for Hearing Spirits Better, Dealing with Asshole Ancestors, and Protection Magick and Warding.

And because I have a penchant for countering serious discussion with a bit of silliness, each course also features a unique theme for all graphics. Past themes have included angry judgemental babies, the weekend sales flier of your local grocery store, and inspirational posters as found in your high school gym teacher's office.

Lastly, Bone Reading availability will be drastically reduced during October. The Ancestral Reading Service will still be available but Basic Bone Readings and In-Depth Bone Readings will be closed as of October 1.
