We had to drive up to see my mom again tonight, this is the same nearly 2 hour drive that spawned the singing mentioned before. But, as we were back in our old hometown, where I actually know where to find things that I want, I took the opportunity to visit the Co-op.
As was to be expected when you have three small children and bring home an adorable little kitten: we will be keeping him. No one has claimed him, and I honestly believe that if anyone wanted him (besides us, of course) that they would have come for him by now.
Two nights ago I had a talk with my daughter about our kitty. Willy died this past July, just after his tenth birthday. Everyone has pretty much gotten over it except for me. Or so I thought.
We had been driving back from visiting my family. The drive is long, we had gotten there late, and fittingly were now returning home late as well. The kids were wired from cheesey flavored corn chips and too much fruity trail mix to take the nap I had been hoping for.
The children and I were all laying on the bed. The boys, of course, rattled my ear off about half a million different things, each of them speaking at the same time. I decided to seize the moment.
