Bone Readings
Do you teach throwing the bones, bone divination, how to do bone readings?
While I do offer a course on working respectfully with zoological remains, I do not teach throwing the bones or bone divination, nor do I teach any other forms of divination. I have no intention of offering a course or workshop on throwing the bones in the future.

Do you do bone readings by phone/zoom/skype/etc?
I do not. Bone readings are not like Tarot or other forms of divination. Every reading involves 20-30 minutes of ceremonial preparation beforehand and the readings themselves take 1-3 hours to complete. Due to my nomadic and rural lifestyle, I do not have access to reliable phone or internet service and cannot reliably schedule such a significant block of time. All bone readings are delivered as a pdf by email.

I really want to take one of your courses and/or purchase a bone reading but don’t have a paypal account or a credit card, how can I pay you?
Unfortunately, I only accept payment through paypal—which does not mean that you need to have a paypal account, but it does require a credit, debit, or prepaid card. I do not do readings in trade or for barter.

I’m new to witchcraft and looking for a teacher, do you offer one on one teaching or mentorship?
I offer a number of courses—some self-paced and some guided—that each come with full support via email and discord, as well as offering exclusive monthly workshops through patreon that are conducted in a live chat environment via discord. Aside from these courses, the 50+ workshops available through my patreon, my books, the 100+ articles available on my site for free, & the regular content I share on social media, I do not offer any other teaching and I do not offer one-on-one teaching.

I'm new to witchcraft and Paganism, which of your courses is the best to begin with?
All of my courses are really focused in specific areas, so where your interests lay and where you need to grow stronger are big points to keep in mind. But, the true beginner courses are Intro to Spirit Work (which helps you to start interacting with spirits right now. It focuses on preparation and precaution) and Intro to Ancestor Work (which focuses entirely on beginning an ancestral veneration practice, interacting and communicating with your ancestors.) (Both are 3 weeks long.)
Spiritual Self-Care might be a good choice for you. It’s less concerned with teaching new skills than it is with providing you tools to navigate challenges in your spiritual practice. It is a responsive course, so the exercises you do each week depend on what you need at that time. (It’s 4 weeks long.)
By Holey Stone &Bone of Toad could also be a good choice. It’s focused entirely on warding, both your home and self. It’s for all experience levels and hands-on, so you’ll be making wards and putting them to use. (It’s 3 weeks long.)
Developing Divine Relationships and A Witch's Guide to Ancestor Work are both beginner courses, however, they are not self-paced; they have set run times with live chats on the weekends. Developing Divine Relationships is beginner friendly and focused on devotional polytheism and building strong personal relationships with the Gods. (It's 6 weeks long.) A Witch's Guide to Ancestor Work is a beginner/intermediate course on ancestor work that goes a lot deeper than Intro to Ancestor Work, focusing on ancestral trauma and the way that working with one's ancestors benefits the entire community. (It's 8 weeks long.) Availability for these courses will be announced via my newsletter and social media (twitter and instagram).
Alternately, you may appreciate my workshops: every month, I offer a brand new workshop focused on witchcraft, animism, and polytheism through my patreon and The Winding Way community. When you join, you'll get to participate in a live text-based workshop each month, as well as getting access to the resource library of 50+ workshops, casual group mentorship, and peer support groups.

We are fortunate to be living in a time when witchcraft books are both plentiful and easy to access. But this means that there are more being published—and have been published in the last 70 years—than anyone could hope to read.

Help! I have been cursed/am surrounded by negative energy/am being possessed by an evil spirit, what magickal actions do I need to take and can you fix this for me?
The magickal and witch communities have a preoccupation with “negative energy” and “evil spirits” that cannot be substantiated by experience in working with spirits and practicing witchcraft. To put that another way: negative energy does not exist in the fear-based way that is so frequently discussed and good/bad/evil are not universal constructs—they are entirely influenced by culture and human perception, i.e., evil spirits aren’t real.
That said, life is hard and every spiritual person will find themselves facing challenges in their life and practice that shake them to the core, make them question their beliefs, and present them with more questions than answers. But our lives and our spiritual practices are ruled by cycles—just as all the natural world is. These trying times will pass.
In the meantime, there are active steps that you can take to help yourself through these dark nights of the soul:
