aka Brigid's Day, Lady Day, Candlemas, & Purification Day
Winter finally eases its grip upon the land and the ice and snow begin to melt. The Lady awakens from Her slumber and so, too, do some animals. The start of the Spring, this is a time of initiations.

Common Imbolc Traditions
These are a few practices that many Wiccans and Pagans enjoy as part of their Imbolc celebrations.
  • wear crowns of taper candles as part of your Rite
  • bring a bit of snow indoors to melt in your cauldron as part of your Imbolc ritual
  • enjoy a simple feast, made of what's left from the harvest, such as onions and  dried beans
  • as this is traditionally a time of initiations, it's a good time to renew your Dedication (be it to your path or your Gods,) initiate new members into the Coven, or to have your child's Wiccaning Ceremony
