Approach the Gods with Confidence

Begin your Relationship with the Gods

One of the most powerful relationships we can have in our lives is with the Gods. Ancient and eternal, the Gods are the movers and shakers of the natural world, found in every culture throughout history. They are many, very much alive, and still able to be reached by those who would know Them and approach Them with respect.

Through our devotion, Their love and care reverberate through our lives, touching everything and leaving us changed for the better. By placing the Gods at the center of our spirituality, a firm foundation is created that provides comfort and direction when life becomes challenging and our hearts heavy. The relationships we carefully cultivate with Them support us through these challenges and helps us to grow stronger in our knowledge of Them and in our knowledge of ourselves.

If you would grow stronger in your relationship with the Gods...

  • explore the nature of the Gods and the types of relationships that are possible for you to have with Them
  • create space in your life for the Gods by erecting a shrine with appropriate tools and objects
  • understand the importance of offerings, what to offer, why, and how to dispose of it afterward
  • strengthen your spiritual practice by developing a framework for devotion and creating a spiritual calendar

Developing Divine Relationships will equip you with the skills and knowledge to respectfully approach the Gods and begin forging deeply tranformative relationships with Them.

Through 6 weekly lessons with weekly real time chats, you’ll explore the basics of devotional practice, discover which God or Gods to first approach, and learn to recognize the many ways that direct experience with the Gods can manifest. You’ll develop a firm understanding of how to approach new deities, the obligations that come with different types of relationships, and how to develop kharis—divine reciprocity.
As an introductory course, this course is designed with the beginner in mind. This course is ideal for someone new to Paganism and/or polytheism, who is looking to build a rewarding devotional practice with the Gods, or who has begun a relationship with the Gods but is looking for ways to further strengthen that relationship.

This course is not framed within the context of any one tradition (i.e., Heathenry, Hellenism, Kemeticism, etc.) but, rather, is nondenominational, allowing it to be used as a basic primer to approaching the Gods regardless to which tradition you may find yourself called. Please note that this course is rooted in polytheism—the belief in many, living Gods. All material and exercises are written from the understanding that the Gods are many, distinct, and autonomous. The Gods are not archetypes, They are not facets of one God or one Goddess, nor are They flavors of energy and such viewpoints will not to be discussed throughout this course.
This course is conducted through email and optional, but recommended, live weekly (text-based) chats. Upon enrolling, you will receive a Welcome Message with further details of what to expect and how to access the chats. There are no additional materials to purchase for the course, however, you may wish to have a sturdy notebook and pen in which to jot down thoughts, explore journal prompts, and record your experiences in completing the exercises in each lesson.
